SENS welcomes new director Maddy Milnes, who was elected onto the board at the AGM on Friday 7th July 2017.
Maddy is a founder member of Avalon Community Energy Limited, a mutual ‘Community Renewables’ social enterprise based in the Mendip District of Somerset. She co-ordinated their successful Community Shares issue, which raised £184,000 social investment, and project managed the installation of two large scale community-owned rooftop solar arrays in 2017.
She has 15 years’ experience of working at board level as a HR director within education and the NHS. She is a highly successful and well regarded HR professional with experience of large complex organisations with expertise in organisational development, engagement and leadership development.
For the past four years Maddy has also been involved in Transition Wells as a volunteer, chairing the energy group, which has developed to be a dynamic and high achieving team and have implemented a range of initiatives to support the sustainability of the city.
